My name is Maren and I come from Germany. My french is very bad and because of this I write in english. I hope that it will be ok?!

I have two male rabbits, Max (4 years old) and Moritz (6 year old).
Unfortunately the new mutated VHD Virus came to Germany too and we have no vaccine against it.
But we have one chance, our vet is able to order the french vaccine that is called " filavac vhd variant", it should be very new in France.
In Germany we do not know anything about side effects and if this vaccine will be safe because it is new on the market.
My vet and I, we are very insecure and we do not know what to do.

Now I get the idea to ask you because I think that you use this vaccine already.

Do you have any experiences with the new vaccine against the new Virus?
What about the side effects, is the vaccine secure?

I am looking forward for an anwer, it would be very nice.

Malheureusement, le nouveau virus mutant du VHD est arrivé en Allemagne et nous n'avons pas de vaccin contre. Mais nous avons une chance : notre vétérinaire peut commander le vaccin français appelé "Filavac VHD Variant", ça doit être nouveau en France.
En Allemagne, nous ne savons rien des effets secondaires et si ce vaccin est sûr car c'est tout nouveau sur le marché. Mon véto et moi sommes très inquiets et nous ne savons pas quoi faire.
Maintenant j'ai eu l'idée de vous poser la question car je pense que vous utilisez déjà ce vaccin.


Avez-vous eu l'expérience avec ce nouveau vaccin contre le nouveau virus?
Quels en sont les effets secondaires? Est-ce que ce vaccin est sûr?

Most people here still use the Nobivac vaccine (VHD + myxomatosis). But I am reading that the variant has been used for almost 2 years now (since 2013). I have never heard about it...
